Acid soil

1. A soil having an acid reaction or pH below the neutral point which is pH 7.0. A soil having an excess of hydrogen ions. Turfgrasses generally prefer slightly acid soils, in the range 6.0 - 6.5.

While some plants prefer slightly acidic soil, notice that nutrient availability is affected as acidity increases.
