1. season grass - turfgrasses that actively grow during the cooler spring and fall weather. These include Kentucky bluegrass, the fescues, ryegrasses and bentgrass.
Some plants prefer cool weather, like this cabbage. Because cabbage plants thrive in cool weather, they can grow to be five-feet in diameter in Alaskan (or other cool weather) summers.
